What is the best tariff?
Tariffs that can be canceled on a monthly basis offer greater flexibility compared to fixed-term contracts. However, term contracts are often more attractive when offered. One of the best contracts was in November 2021 and May 2022 from Freenet (formerly Mobilcom Debitel). Here you could secure 50 GB in the Vodafone or Telekom network for 15 euros per month; including flat rates for telephony and SMS. If you can, you should switch to a monthly terminable contract and then sign up for Black Week 2023.
Among the tariffs that can be canceled monthly, Mega Sim leads in terms of price-performance in the O2 network as well as Simon Mobile and Dr. SIM in the Vodafone network and Fraenk in the Telekom network.
Which network is good?
Depending on where you live in Germany, the network can be very different. In Munich, for example, O2 is excellent in the city center area, but not usable in the subway and on the edge of the stand. Vodafone offers high coverage throughout Germany; just like the Telekom network. If you really want to be sure whether the network is good at your desired location, you can always find a network coverage map from the respective provider. You should also ask friends and family for advice about whether they have good reception on the desired network.
What is the difference between monthly billing and every four weeks?
Some tariffs are not billed by calendar month, but every four weeks. The bill is billed every 28 days, which is a little more expensive in practice. You pay around 13 instead of 12 contributions per year when billed every four weeks.
Conclusion
From a free SIM to unlimited data volume for 27 euros, the mobile phone tariffs we researched have it all. From our point of view, the offers from Simon Mobile are currently really good and Dr. SIM for the Vodafone network, from Fraenk for the Telekom network and from Mega Sim for the O2 network.
