Last weekend the park Puy du Fou received the good news of its nomination for the equivalent of the Oscars for best show in the world in Las Vegas, but the full prize came when, of the 15 candidates, the park located in Castilla-La Mancha won the prize. Specifically, it has been the show called Pen and Swordfrom Puy du Fou Spain, which has won the award for Best Show in the World, awarded by a jury of theme park professionals, within the framework of the IAAPA Honors 2024, which is the sector's major annual event held in Las Vegas.
The organizer is the International Association of Entertainment Parks, which is the most important international organization in the field of cultural and leisure tourism. Every year, it brings together the largest parks and sites in the world to share trends and innovations in the sector, Puy du Fou reported in a press release.
On this occasion, Puy du Fou Spain was selected among 8,000 theme parks, amusement parks, zoos, museums and other cultural or tourist sites to receive the Brass Ring Excellence Awards the showbiz equivalent of the Oscars.
The CEO of the park, Erwan de la Villéonthe vice president of Puy du Fou Spain, Jesus Sainzthe president of the Puy du Fou Group, Nicholas de Villiersand the deputy general director of the park, José Ramón Molineroreceived the highest recognition worldwide.
