Apple will, rumor mongers largely agree, introduce new products this week. However, there will not be an event for this; instead, simple press releases announcing the devices can be expected in the near future. This is what the usually well-informed Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman assumes in his weekend newsletter. He believes in “new Macs, iPads” and “Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard updates.” However, according to Gurman, it is unclear whether all products will appear at the same time; some of the presentations may extend into April.

OLED is coming to the iPad
New, slightly thinner versions of the iPad Pro models are expected, which will feature OLED screens for the first time – as well as the current M3 chip, a landscape format camera and possibly MagSafe. In addition to the M2, the new iPad Air will probably also have a second model with 12.9 inches. Finally, observers also believe in a new standard iPad and possibly a revised iPad mini. MacRumors has now uncovered a list of unknown products and their SoCs.
The iPad 11 will therefore be equipped with A14 Bionic (from the iPhone 12), the iPad mini 7 with A17 (from the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max) and the iPad Air with the said M2. The Apple Pencil, which is already confusing for users, is apparently going to get another variant – which will hopefully support as many devices as possible without sacrificing functionality. In the future, the Magic Trackpad will be partly made of aluminum and will have a larger trackpad.
Mac: MacBook Air combined – and a Mac mini?
When it comes to new Macs, we're currently hearing a lot about new MacBook Air machines. Apple wants to combine these for the first time, after 13- and 15-inch variants were last released separately. Both variants are said to be getting a 3nm M3 SoC (without Max or Pro), Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E for the first time. Visually, there are probably no changes planned.
Unfortunately, the rumors are barely noticeable so far for the Mac mini, which is still waiting for an M3 variant. The same applies to Mac Studio and Mac Pro, both of which are also still stuck in the M2 era. To do this, Apple could give the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus new colors and bring a new collection of iPhone cases and Apple Watch bracelets onto the market.
