Administrators can now also initiate feature updates for Windows early on, apart from the regular updates of their clients. Until now, this only worked with security updates.

The prerequisite is Windows 11 on the client side and Intune or Graph on the administration side. You first have to create an update profile in the management software; Microsoft designates the feature versions with a D. The selection only shows the most recent updates, so under certain circumstances only security versions with B can be in the list. However, Microsoft also points out in the instructions that all updates are cumulative anyway.
Administrators can then select specific target clients and groups for the manually initiated update and then check its success in an overview. Details about the requirements can be found in the instructions.
