The container orchestrator Kubernetes, which will celebrate its ninth birthday in July 2024, has transformed the IT infrastructure in many organizations and made a new way of working with more flexibility possible. DevOps as a new culture in IT departments would not have spread so quickly without Kubernetes. But the Kubernetes API and kubectl alone are not enough to distribute, update, and monitor applications. The real strength of Kubernetes is the huge ecosystem of open source tools, most of which were designed to solve specific problems faced by Kubernetes users.

The online conference Mastering Kubernetes from heise academy, which will take place on June 18, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., is dedicated to these tools from the cloud-native environment. The focus is on reports from practice – medium-sized businesses as well as global corporations are represented. The speakers will present which tools have proven themselves, which problems needed to be solved and which construction sites are still open in their clusters. A look behind the scenes at heise online is also on the program.
Further information and tickets for the event can be found on the heise academy website. Anyone who decides by May 21st will benefit from an early bird price.
