Penetration tests (pentests) are effective measures to uncover vulnerabilities and gaps in your own IT infrastructure. IT systems and networks are checked for attack security using methods and techniques that are also used by real attackers or hackers and possible weak points are identified.

Companies usually decide whether to carry out penetration tests themselves or commission an external expert to do so. The basis for implementation is a tender in which the scope and focus of the test are defined. The parameters depend on the company's individual infrastructure, specific requirements and needs.
In the iX Penetration Testing Workshop: Understanding Methodology, Writing It Out Correctly and Evaluating Results, you will expand your understanding of penetration testing and learn what is important if you want to have your IT systems and applications professionally examined.
This training will take place from April 16th to 17th, 2024 and will impart methodological skills for test areas such as port and vulnerability scans, web applications and end devices over two mornings. It helps you recognize classic pitfalls – not only when actually carrying out penetration tests, but also when analyzing and evaluating the results obtained.
Security expert Tobias Glemser leads through this course. In his work as a BSI-certified penetration tester, technical manager for penetration tests and OWASP German Chapter Lead, the managing director of the IT security company secuvera has extensive practical experience.
