The National Police have arrested five men, between 19 and 33 years old, in Marbella (Málaga) for their alleged participation in a group sexual assault on a 26-year-old woman. The events occurred last Tuesday, March 5 in the town of Malaga and one of the police hypotheses points to a possible chemical submission of the victim, although an analysis is pending to confirm it, as explained by police sources.
The alleged rape occurred during the night of Tuesday in a hotel in Marbella. The victim, a 26-year-old girl, reported the events to the National Police the next day. She was then transferred to the Costa del Sol Hospital for a medical examination and, in parallel, police work began, initially focused on identifying the participants in the group attack on the woman.
The work has borne results and finally the five men were arrested this Friday. According to Sur, three of them have German nationality and the other two, Serbian. The detainees have already been placed at the disposal of the Investigative Court number 1 of Marbella, which will now have to decide whether they will be placed in provisional prison or released.
Police sources have explained that the investigation remains open. The objective now is to determine “the degree of participation of each of the suspects in the events,” as explained by sources in the case. The possible chemical submission of the victim is also being analyzed, but the agents are waiting to receive the results of the analyzes that will confirm or rule out the use of substances for this.
