The JavaScript conference is aimed at web, frontend and backend developers as well as software architects, test and UX/UI designers. The diverse program includes more than 35 lectures in three tracks as well as three full-day workshops on site.
The new frontend trend: vanilla web
To start the first day of the conference, Golo Roden highlights the vanilla web, the new frontend trend. There are now countless frameworks, libraries and tools on the market. But do you really need all of them to build a simple website or application? The dependencies are often more of a hindrance. Wouldn't it be great if web development was as lightweight and easy as it used to be? Just write HTML, CSS and JavaScript, save and you're done?
In fact, native web technologies have now come astonishingly far. But how far exactly? Golo Roden will provide answers to questions like these at the opening of the JavaScript conference on May 7th.
Keynote 2: Truth and Probability
In her keynote speech on May 8th, digital philosopher Sabria David will examine ethical aspects in the context of artificial intelligence (AI), software development and society. She takes a look behind the scenes and examines the interaction between technology and cultural technology, people and machines. What does the shift from truth to probability mean for society and how can a good framing of artificial intelligence succeed? This keynote is about responsibility, trust and credibility in relation to AI.
