Belkin has introduced its third mounting system for Apple's iPhone, which can be used to use the so-called integration camera that Apple has been providing in its most important operating systems since last year. This makes it possible to use current iPhones as a camera for other devices in order to get a better picture during video conferences and other applications. This time around, the new Belkin mount is aimed at Apple TV 4K owners, having previously catered to MacBook and desktop Mac users.

Flexible setup
The Belkin iPhone Mount with MagSafe for Apple TV 4K is intended to be attached to a television – this can have a depth of up to 10 centimeters, according to the manufacturer. Alternatively, the holder can also be used free-standing – on a desk or TV stand. A keyhole holder and mounting bracket are also included. The iPhone is attached magnetically using MagSafe and can film in both portrait and landscape format.
Positioning with an inclination of minus 20 to plus 30 degrees is possible. The weight is 300 grams, so the hardware is correspondingly stable. However, it costs a lot of money at just under 55 euros (plus delivery costs, currently only available from Apple).
Integration camera for better images
The integration camera, also known as Continuity Camera, connects the iPhone camera wirelessly to Apple TV 4K devices via WLAN. Since the multimedia box does not have an integrated camera, the iPhone is necessary to be able to carry out video chats on the television. The first apps to use the integration camera are those from WebEx, Zoom and Apple's own FaceTime.
As mentioned, the mounts from Belkin currently available are intended for (Mac) monitors and Mac notebooks. The latter variant also serves as an iPhone holder. All support MagSafe and are certified accordingly by Apple. Belkin is often one of the first suppliers of accessories for Apple products – the company is a subsidiary of Apple's most important iPhone manufacturer Foxconn. It recently added the first Vision Pro peripheral components to its offering.
