CB Imprenta Bahía San Agustín continues to add players to the squad with which it will compete this season in the LEB Plata. The team coached by Pau Tomàs has closed the incorporation of Viktor Kovacevic, power forward born in Belgrade in 1999 to strengthen his inside game. Kovacevic, 2.03 meters tall, joins the ranks of the Palma team after having developed most of his career as a basketball player in the United States, where he has played for several NCAA II teams, the second category of the league American university.
After playing in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons for the Manhattan Community College Panthers, in the 2019-20 season, Kovacevic made the leap to the university league joining the Quincy University Hawks in Illinois with whom he played a total of 28 games in which he played an average of 24 minutes per game scoring 9.07 points he captured 4.75 rebounds and distributed 1.57 assists. In the following season, before the competition stopped due to the COVID19 pandemic, Kovacevic played a total of 10 games with an average of 30.4 minutes per game in which he scored 15.30 points per gamecaptured 5.70 rebounds and distributed 2.20 assists.
Last season, Viktor Kovacevic joined the ranks of West Liberty University, playing a total of 32 games with a total of 20.2 minutes per game in which he scored an average of 8.38 points, captured 4 .28 rebounds and gave 2.06 assists. The Serbian will now make the leap to European basketball in the ranks of CB Imprenta Bahía San Agustín. “He is a power forward of 2.03 with a great knowledge of the game. He is a smart player with and without the ball, with a good hand from 6.75 and good ball handling”Explain Pau Tomàs which underlines that Viktor is “a player who can adapt to playing in three positions since he can do 3 of 4 or 5”. “He comes to join the team and work very hard to improve day by day”, Concludes Tomàs.
