Agents of the Civil Guard he arrested two menof Spanish nationality, for allegedly committing at least 30 thefts and one robbery with violence in tobacconists and perfumeries from various locations in Majorca.
As reported by the Armed Institute through a statement, the thieves acted in establishments Andratx, Santa Ponça, Esporles, Santa María, Santa Eugènia, Binissalem, Consell, Alaró, Lloseta, Campos, Capdepera, Petra and Marratxí.
Agents from the Pont d’Inca Investigation Area detected a significant increase in thefts and that all of them had in common that they were committed in tobacconists throughout the island and perfumeries from a well-known chain. In this way, managers and associations of the affected establishments were in advance notice of the economic damage they were suffering.
The two men are accused of 30 thefts and on one occasion they committed five thefts in a single day in different tobacconists. In all their criminal acts, thieves they stole cartons of tobacco and perfumes.
The investigation has allowed the Civil Guard to clarify that the detainees they sold all the merchandise at half price in bars. The amount stolen amounts to more than 10,000 euros.
It should be noted that in one of the tobacconists they used violence to seize a bag full of cartons of tobacco.
22 complaints per bottle
On the other hand, the Local Police of Palma have filed a total of 22 complaints for practicing the bottle -17 in polygons and five in Torre d’en Pau- throughout the weekend.
As reported in a statement collected by Europa Press, in the case of Torre d’en Pau, five people have been identified per bottle and for having music from a vehicle, which had been introduced into the premises, at a high volume. An act of denunciation for circulation was also opened.
In the case of the polygons, 29 people have been identified and 21 complaints have been filed (17 for a bottle, three for urinating on public roads and one for drug possession).
