The 2022/23 season is just around the corner and Movistar+ has already announced the team of professionals that will narrate the League matches during this course, among which are José Sanchís, Lluis Izquierdo, Jordi Pons, Héctor Ruiz and Alba Oliveros. The latter becomes the first female journalist to give voice to a meeting of the highest category on the aforementioned platform.
The young 27-year-old journalist, who is also an influencer with her poses, has an extensive career in different written, radio and television media despite her young age. The woman from Valladolid has already worked in Goal, eLaLiga and Movistar+. An Alba who studied Journalism at the University of Valladolid with an average grade of 8.9 and who later did a specialized master’s degree in Sports Journalism at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona.
“A lover of this profession,” Alba says about herself, adding the following to her Linkedin profile: “I am in favor of honest journalism and rigorous will end up prevailing and will educate a society eager for culture and sport. Because to know how to play in life, you have to do it with your head”. In addition, he recently gave an interview to the Teleaudiencias portal and talked about his first time on television: “It was a false direct, a fairly long speech and I think that the second or third time it was the charm. The first direct, more nervous yes, but I really enjoyed it. That tingling for me is very pleasant, it gives me life”.
Alba is going to become the first woman to narrate a match in the highest category of Spanish football on Movistar+, something that she will undoubtedly be proud of: “There’s plenty left to do, but in general it is changing at a very high rate. There is less and less sexism, but above all there are more women who are experts in the matter, and if they are good, I think that right now that prevails over gender.
