The influence of an anticyclone on baleares will leave clear skies and a gradual increase in daytime temperatures throughout the archipelago, up to the usual values for this season, although the absence of wind in the case of Majorca and the Pitiusas will mean that continue to record night frosts throughout the week.

As explained to Europa Press by the territorial delegate of the State Meteorological Agency (aemet) in the Balearic Islands, Maria Jose Guerrerothe stable weather of the next few days will cause the daytime highs to rise little by little as the week progresses until reaching 15 or 16 degrees.

However, he added, the lack of wind will make the minimums can be between two and three negative degrees in points of the Serra de Tramuntana. In Menorca, the north wind is expected to blow, so frost is not expected.

Last night the Balearic Islands experienced an episode of low temperatures that has left up to -2ºC in Can Sion (Campos), -1ºC in the Salines de Llevant and -0.5ºC in Sant Joan de Labritja and Palma airport.

At 03:10 the lowest temperature was reached in Can Sion, while in Palma the coldest moment was at 7:40.

The stations of S’Albufera de Muro and Sa Pobla (-0.2 ºC), and 0 ºC in Lluc (Escorca) have also reached records below zero.

Meanwhile, the maximum temperatures have not exceeded 10.8 ºC at the Ibiza airport, 10.7 ºC in Formentera and 10.3 ºC in Ciutadella. In Palma the highest temperature has been 9.7 ºC in the port.

It should be noted that the Can Sion station remains below zero even in the maximum temperature count (-0.5 ºC at 7:30 a.m.).
