Some macho insults from a student of the Elías Ahuja Residence Hall towards the companions of the Santa Mónica residential center have gone viral. “Bitches, come out of your burrows like rabbits, you are fucking nymphomaniacs, I promise you that you are all going to fuck in the capea, let’s go Ahuja!”, shouted the boy who has already been expelled from the center by decision of the management. Also the main political leaders, including the Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, have condemned these expletives. But, as surprising as it may seem, the girls at whom these insults were directed are not offended and have defended the author of the insults. In addition, these students from the Colegio Mayor Santa Mónica have made it ugly that this event has become politicized.
“It is inexplicable that we have the school full of cameras because of the Prime Minister,” laments one of the students in an interview with OKDIARIO. “They are using us to politicize”, assures another of the students of the Madrid university college while the other companions nod. And it is that the President of the National Executive, Pedro Sánchez, has condemned these attitudes in a protest tweet.
Likewise, the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, has also rejected these sexist insults that were launched from a balcony of the Colegio Mayor Elías Ahuja. Montero has called “rape culture” these facts. However, the girls themselves reject these shows of support and assure that neither Irene Montero, much less Pedro Sánchez, represents them.
Despite the rejection of the girls to whom these insults were directed, the matter is already in the hands of the Prosecutor’s Office. The Public Prosecutor has decided to investigate the facts despite the fact that the girls themselves have assured that it is a joke that is made every year and that it does not offend them.
