The gasoline and diesel They have fallen again during the last week, coinciding with the bridge on August 15, until registering average prices of 1,597 and 1,606 euros per liter -applying the discount of 20 cents from the Government-, their lowest levels since last April although far from reaching the prices at the beginning of the year.
According to data released this Thursday by the Oil Bulletin of the European Union (EU)which includes the average price registered at more than 11,400 Spanish service stations between August 9 and 15, the price of both fuels remains below the barrier of 2 euros per liter even without the public bonus.
With these values, the cost of Gasoline falls 3.8% in the last seven days after registering its eighth consecutive fall, while diesel is 2.9% cheaper than a week ago, after chaining its seventh decline.
Thus, gasoline and diesel marked during the last seven days values similar to those registered in the week of April 11, before Holy Weekwhen they were paid at 1.59 and 1.613 euros per liter, respectively.
Both fuels are also below the prices registered during the month of March, when the Government, as a result of the historical maximums that were exceeded every week, was forced to establish the bonus of 20 cents per liter for all consumers, which will be valid throughout the year.
How much does it cost to fill the tank?
At current prices, filling an average tank of 55 litersboth with gasoline and diesel, costs around 88 euros, which means paying about 7 euros more than at the beginning of 2022 if gasoline is used, and 14 euros if diesel is chosen.
Despite the historically high values, the price of both fuels in Spain -once the discount has been applied- remains below the European average, which, according to EU statistics, stood this last week at 1,774 euros per liter for gasoline, and 1,804 euros for diesel.
