The PP andalusian keep joining their ranks Mayors of Ciudadanos (Cs) in the community after the collapse of the party in the regional elections last June. The last one, the first mayor of Tíjola (Almería), José Juan Martínezwhich has already announced that it will stand for re-election in the next municipal elections under the acronym of the PP.
With this transfer, there are already three orange mayors in the province of Almería who have changed to blue. On July 11, the alderman of Albanchez, Amador López Pardo, did the same, and this Monday the first of Los Gallardos, Francisco Reyes, repeated the movement.
As OKDIARIO Andalucía has learned, the reins of Cs in the community will be taken “imminently” by a manager. After the disaster of 19J, where the formation was left without parliamentary representation, it is expected that the manager will disembark, at the latest, next Monday. “It will be something choral, without prominent heads,” they point out from the formation.
Thanks to the work of the PP
The mayor of Tíjola has highlighted the values of “loyalty and commitment” that have presided over the government pact signed in 2019 to guarantee governance in the municipality and the support that it has had in these more than three years from the PP governments in the Junta de Andalucía and Diputación, as the PP has transferred in a note.
“This decision is motivated by the great support that the PP has given us at the municipal, provincial and regional levels. The residents of Tíjola today see historic projects for the municipality become a reality thanks to the loyalty and commitment that Juanma Moreno and Javier Aureliano García have given us », he said.
Martínez has been “convinced” that it is the “best decision” to achieve the objective of Tíjola “consolidating the Almanzora region as a benchmark.”
The mayor recalled some of the projects that have become a reality in recent years and that “would not have been possible without the strong support of the Provincial Council and Andalusian Government”, among which he pointed out the comprehensive reform of the San Juan neighbourhood, the swimming pool in El Higueral, the underpass on the A-344, the Plaza Abastos building, which will have a library, Guadalinfo and an exhibition hall; the roundabout in the neighborhood of the station, and bike lane and west entrance access.
Likewise, he has highlighted that everything is already processed for the execution of the Regional Sports Complex, co-financed with the Board and Provincial Council, as well as the construction of a funeral home in El Higueral and an underground parking lot and a square in the area attached to the town hall.
Martínez has guaranteed that he will “concur with the same enthusiasm, the same commitment and putting, as always, the interests of the residents of Tíjola over any other and for this reason it is important to have the support of the Diputación and the Junta de Andalucía”.
