The investigation was launched when a company in Crevillente was detected that was suspected of employing foreign citizens without the established labor guarantees, being exploited and without a contract. In the company registry, the investigators located 6 workers, of whom 5 were foreigners who were in an irregular situation.
The aforementioned businessman, who was also the owner of the company, forced them to work for a weekly salary of €200. But, they did not receive it in case of falling ill and not being able to attend their homework.
According to the account of the National Police, these workers were exploited without respecting the occupational risk regulations: they worked long hours without rest.
