The officials of the Balearic Islands ignored by the president of the Government, Francina Armengol, demand their salary equalization with the Canary Islands. This Saturday, a hundred of them, integrated into the platform Unisep, what represents the 48,000 employees of the essential public services of the Balearic Islands education, health and security forces and bodies, have demonstrated in front of the Consolat de Mar, seat of the presidency of the Balearic Government, to request the update of the insularity plus and be equated with that of the Canary Islands.

The workers’ representatives have denounced that, after the historical budget in terms of spending approved by the Balearic Government, including the 677 million euros of the new Balearic Special Regime (REB), “We do not understand how it has not been proposed to solve the problem that our public workers face, and that affects the services that the Balearic population receives”.
Finally, from the platform they have demanded that the members of the regional Executive seek aA definitive solution to avoid the flight of professionalsgive prestige to the work of public employees and the services received by the citizens of the Balearic Islands.
