The Ibex 35 has started the session this Wednesday with a rise of 0.29%, which has led the selective to stand at 8,867 integers at 9:01 a.m., pending Inditexwhich has presented its quarterly results, the first for Marta Ortega at the head of the company’s presidency, and awaiting the meeting of the European Central Bank (ECB)which will take place this Thursday, and the publication of the inflation data in the United States, a day later.
In this way, after registering a slight rise of 0.06% yesterday, the Madrid selective began the day clinging to the psychological level of 8,800 points, on a day in which Inditex has announced a net profit of 760 million in its first quarter, 80% more, after provisioning 216 million for Russia and Ukraine.
In the early stages of this Wednesday’s session, the biggest rises in the Ibex 35 were scored Inditex (+3.38%), Grifols (+1.21%), Melia Hotels (+1,05%), PharmaMar (+0,84%) y Fluidra (+0.65%), while on the opposite side they were Rovi (-0,82%), electrical network (-0,63%), Telefónica (-0,46%), y BBVA (-0,3%).
The rest of the European stock markets opened with increases of 0.2% in the case of Frankfurt, Paris y London. The price of a barrel of crude Brentof reference for Europe, stood at 120 dollars, with an increase of 0.2%, while the barrel of oil WTI, a reference for the US, rose 0.38% to 119 dollars. Finally, the price of the euro against the dollar stood at 1.0689 ‘greenbacks’.
