Cybercrime is not a natural disaster that one is powerless to face. Anyone who understands how the attackers tick, which methods they use and how the existing protection options work can secure their IT in such a way that their protective measures do not collapse at the first wrong click. This is exactly where the heise security webinar on ransomware helps – understanding and successfully fending off attacks.
From 0 to 100 in two mornings
The webinar is a crash course, so to speak, which immediately takes the participants from (almost) zero to speed. Due to the format of two half days, the speaker can delve deep enough into the topic that it is actually helpful for concrete practice. Anyone who has been following heise Security for a long time may already know Stefan Strobel from his excellent lectures on the heise Security Tour – he can do it!
The first morning is all about understanding the attackers and the tools and techniques they use. On the second day, Strobel will present detection and protection measures and analyze their respective effectiveness. He goes into architectures and free configuration measures as well as commercial security products and shows how these can complement each other optimally.
100% independent and ad-free
The webinar is an editorial event and is therefore 100% independent and free of advertising. It will take place on May 3rd and 4th, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The content is aimed specifically at administrators and those responsible for security, also in smaller companies and organizations. Participation normally costs 445 euros; until April 11th, however, an early bird rate of 415 euros applies. As always, members of heise Security Pro can take part in all our security webinars free of charge (you will receive a code for this via the exclusive Security Pro newsletter).
