The sparrows were already whistling from the roofs, and a look at the European pages of Suzuki gives sad certainty: The 1000 Gixxer is history in the EU and thus follows the GSX-R 600 and the GSX-R 750, which have been in this country for some years are no longer available as new vehicles. But grief is followed by joy: the entire family lives on in the USA, and the GSX-R 1000 R and the RZ get new colors for 2023.
Suzuki GSX-R 1000 R 2023
The new US colors are Pearl Brilliant White/ Metallic Matte Stellar Blue and Metallic Matte Black No.2/Glass Sparkle Black. The predominantly white GSX-R 1000 R replaces the 2022 variant in gray (Metallic Matte Black No. 2 / Glass Matte Mechanical Gray). In black with neon-yellow decals, the 1000 is a bit more subtle than last year’s version, with red accents and a wide Suzuki lettering on the flank.
Suzuki GSX-R 1000 RZ 2023
In 2023, the RZ version will again only appear in the iconic blue and white (metallic triton blue / metallic mystic silver). Technically there is no difference between the R and the RZ. In the USA there was or is not the GSX-R 1000 without an end abbreviation in contrast to Europe. In the US, the R costs $18,199, the RZ costs $100 more.
No, it’s fine the way it is.
In Europe, the 1000 Gixxer is over. Meanwhile, in the USA, Suzuki is presenting the new colors for 2023.
