February is getting closer for what remains few stories from the oscars 2023 that we have not yet been able to enjoy in theaters or, failing that, on the main platforms of streaming. On this opening weekend, it is the turn of two of the main candidatesespecially in the acting category where Cate Blanchett with LIBRARY and Brendan Fraser and his role in The whale are two of the options most considered by Academics. Despite his short filmography, Todd Field has even made Martin Scorsese himself fall in love with LIBRARY. This musical drama tells the story of the famous composer Lydia Tár (Cate Blanchet), who is about to record the most important symphony of her remarkable career. However, as the key moment approaches, a whole series of unforeseen events seem to conspire against Lydia. Luckily she has his six-year-old daughter Petra to support her. The resurrection of Brendan Fraser goes hand in hand with Aronofski and this adaptation of the Samuel D. Hunter play. Produced by A24, tells of the search for redemption of a lonely English teacher (Fraser) with severe obesity. Reconnect with his daughter, played by Sadie Sink (Stranger things), it’s your last chance to make things right.
