NASA has also canceled the second attempt to launch the giant SLS rocket to launch the Orion space capsule to the moon. A stubborn leak had occurred during refueling with liquid hydrogen, and all countermeasures that had been tried before had not worked. NASA has not yet announced how the mission called Artemis-1 will continue.
The launch attempt was canceled three hours before the start of the launch window. As NASA explains, several attempts to close the leak by sealing the affected quick coupling failed. More data is currently being collected. When the tank was aborted, the first refueling process for liquid oxygen was complete; the liquid hydrogen level was only about 10%.
