Both Sony and Nintendo have announced live streams for their video games for Tuesday and Wednesday night. Nintendo’s direct live stream starts at 4 p.m. German time, Sony’s “State of Play” event will be broadcast from 11:59 p.m.
Nintendo wants to take 40 minutes for its presentation and show games that will be available for the Nintendo Switch in winter. Above all, fans are hoping for news about “Breath of the Wild 2”, the release date of which Nintendo vaguely states as 2023.
In the UK, Nintendo will not host its direct livestream due to the loss of Queen Elizabeth – instead, the US channel’s livestream from Nintendo can be viewed there instead. Sony, on the other hand, plans to stream its game show in the UK as well. From 11:59 p.m. German time, Sony wants to show “revelations and updates” for the PS5, PS4 and the upcoming VR system PSVR2 for 20 minutes. There should be a total of ten titles.
PSVR2 still without a price
Sony’s VR headset Playstation VR 2 will be released in early 2023, an exact date or price for the virtual reality headset has not yet been revealed. Games already announced include The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution and Horizon Call of the Mountain.
Compared to the previous model, Playstation VR 2 has, among other things, HDR display, an increased resolution of 2,000 x 2,040 pixels per eye and a motion controller with haptic feedback, which is intended to remind you of the effects of the Dualsense controller.
The tracking of the PSVR2 works without an external camera. Instead, cameras inside the VR glasses record the environment and the position of the controllers. In addition, the new VR headset from Sony is capable of eye tracking, which should enable more precise rendering and thus performance improvements.
