The real news is: At 20,195 euros for the ZX-10 R and 30,045 euros for the RR, Kawasaki is charging exactly the same amounts for the two supersport spearheads. Whereby this is nothing new in the classic sense, but as of 2022. The entire technology of the two “10-man ninjas” is also from 2022. Only the two colors of the base tens are changed.
New colors for the ZX-10 R 2023
Known, but fresher look the two new paint variants of the base ten. In Lime Green/Ebony, it is visibly differentiated by its engine spoiler, which is now mostly green. There are other changes to the colors and graphics, most notably the single “ninja” on the cheek that calms down that area significantly. The second new color combo is called Kawasaki Pearl Robotic White/Metallic Diablo Black, and it replaces the very dark 2022 version. Basically everything that was previously “Metallic Matte” is white in 2023. Both color variants cost 20,195 euros each including transfer.
ZX-10 RR 2023
The ZX-10 RR remains completely unchanged for 2023 and appears again exclusively in Lime Green. With its 204 hp at 14,000 rpm, it has 1 hp more on paper than the ZX-10 R, which, however, “only” revs at 13,200 rpm. The high speeds are made possible by lighter pistons, coated piston pins, titanium connecting rods, other camshafts and modified valve springs. The Marchesini forged wheels are a little lighter. The double R Ninja costs 30,045 euros including transfer.
Yes, the class needs to be more open.
No, super athletes are 600 four-cylinder – basta.
Only two new colors have to be marked as new. Otherwise Kawasaki does not change anything on its two top-end athletes. Even the prices will remain the same as in 2022.
