Isazkun Larzabal, the architect in charge of the reform of Son Moix, has expressed today for the club’s official media her “satisfaction” for the state in which the works are. «It was very important that the first game could be played and we have achieved that», affirmed the Basque architect, who did not want to establish specific deadlines for the installation of the visor of the new stands. “The cover is in good gear. “The new grandstand is now ready to receive the fans, all of them with new seats. The courts have disappeared, the ball is close at hand and we already have the sensation in the stadium of perceiving football in a traditional position, of closeness That was the first objective of the project and we are achieving it”, said Larzabal during his visit to Son Moix today.
The person in charge of the project also recalls the rest of the improvements that have been introduced in the new East Grandstand. «We also have a very important improvement in the accesses, with more turnstiles and newer ones. The important thing is that the fan who comes on Saturday has all that experience of what football is, arriving in better conditions, feeling in a better place, seeing it better, and that is something that we have assured for the game. It was very important that the first game could be played and we have achieved that”.
Larzábal has also given details of the current state of the new roof that is being installed in the East Grandstand. «The cover is in good gear. The important thing was to guarantee the work in the lower phase and that is finished. Now we are working on the upper part, today we raised two trusses, and that is already unstoppable, we continue with another rhythm only on the deck. In the next game people will have the possibility to discover more improvements. And shortly we will continue with the fund and the second phase ».
Izaskun Larzábal, who was able to talk for a while with the team captains and the management leadership after today’s training session, wanted to thank all the workers involved in the works for their effort in meeting the planned deadlines. «I want to thank all the people who have been working this summer, in hot conditions and many hours to get to this day.
