Record classifications brought in 2022!

With the close of the counting of December 2022 classifications it has been confirmed the dynamics of the year for the Greek market of scooters, motorcycles, ducks and ATV, reaching +25% with more than 55 thousand classifications! In motorcycle sales more specifically, it was noted and here a 25% increase!

From January 1 until the end December were recorded in all categories of two, three and four wheels (ATV) 55.691 tratings overallwith the increase reaching 24.8%, compared to the same period last year, when 44,605 ​​units had been sold.

This means that in 2022 11,086 more two-wheelers, three-wheelers and ATV from 2021 (!) a not inconsiderable one number.

Honda CB500X

With a healthy increase of 25%, the motorcycle category also appeared, sorting 8.996 units last year, compared to 7.171 units of 2021.

Scooters have taken over the largest market share, such as happens in recent years, since classified 36,856 units (respall 55,691 of the total categories). Thus they registered an increase of 39%.

In 2021, 26,491 units were registered, which means that last year 10,365 more scooters sold!

A drop in sales is found in the sales of ducks with a negative -19%. Of the 9,563 ducks sold in 2021, we dropped to 7,735 units in 2022.

Yamaha Tracer 9 GT

Finally, the ATV they achieved one +69% with 2,140 units, while the year before last, which was a mediocre year for the area, they had reached 1,242 units.

First company in sales of all categories (two-wheeled motorcycles, ducks, two- and three-wheeled scooters and ATV) in the Greek market, it was the SYM which reached almost 14,000 units.

Me 13,904 registrations the Taiwanese company (which has a wide range of scooters, as well as two “powerful” ducks, the VF 125 and 185) captured a large market share of 25% and presented big sales growth compared to 2021 by 44%!

Second was Honda, which also exceeded the limit of 10 thousand units, scoring 10,846 classifications (29% increase) and 19.4% market share.

In third place was Piaggio with a 13% market share, 7,184 classifications and an increase of 5.7%. Fourth was Daytona with 6,174 units, 11% market share and 15% sales growth.

In fifth place was ranked Yamaha with 5,057 units, an increase of 6.7% and a purchase rate of 9%. In sixth place was Kymco with 2,027 units (16% decrease) and a share of 3.6%.

Motorcycle category – 12-month 2022 report

In the motorcycle category from January to December 2022we saw the Honda to remain first, capturing 21% of the market and classifying 1,916 units with a 30% increase from 2021, while the Yamaha was second, with 1,706 units and a sales increase of 45%.

It was Tuesday Daytona with 798 units and a 9% share of the market (16% increase), which surpassed the BMW of 707 units.

The fifth place was taken by CFMoto with 475 units and a big increase from 2021 which was not very productive for the company.

Voge 300DS

In sixth place, a little further back, she finished Vogue with 452 units (5% of the market) and of the order of +75%!

Seventh was Suzuki with 379 units (15% drop) and close to the Benelli with 362 units and an increase of 7%.

The top ten motorcycle registrations of 2022 in Greece are closed by KTM and Triumph with 328 and 311 sales respectively.

Thep 30 Motorcycles 12 months 2022

On top of it Top 30 of the motorcycles of 2022 in Greece was the Yamaha Tracer 9, if we sum the classifications of the simple models and the GT, which reach 567 units.

Second was the Honda CB 500 X me 460 classifications, while it was ranked third Yamaha Tenere 700 with 324 units (adding both versions together, simple and Rally Edition), with quarter the Suzuki V-Strom 650 (248 mon.) that surpassed the Honda CBF 125 for just 5 classifications! The CBF is the only small displacement motorcycle in the top 10 and to meet the next one we have to go to 14th place and the Daytona Zontes 155.

A little further back sixth place climbed the honda ΧΑDV 750 (236 units) with the Yamaha Tracer 700 behind him at 212 classifications.

Benelli ΤRK 502

Eighth was the Yamaha ΜΤ07 (191 mon.), in front of the CFMoto 650 MT (181 units), with the ten closing it Benelli TRK 502 with very few (only 3) fewer pieces.

The two single-cylinder 300s had good distinctions, the Honda CRF300L and Voge 300DS with about 170 classifications, which left behind the “big” Adventure BMW R 1250 GS and Yamaha MT03.
