Alberto Núñez Feijóo has accused Sánchez of putting Spain at the bottom of Europe in the recovery due to his “fiscal voracity”. The PP leader points out that “there has not been a single Prime Minister who has charged us more taxes for the same thing as him.”
The president of the PP has come out against the Government’s attacks on his party after Juanma Moreno, Isabel Diaz Ayuso y Fernando Lopez Miras have proposed the elimination of the Wealth Tax as well as other tax reductions. Measures that would alleviate the situation of citizens in the face of rising prices and the inaction of the social-communist Executive.
Feijóo has made these statements during the closing of the XIII Congress of the PP of Melilla, in which he has criticized that the Government in seven months, from January to July, has collected 22,000 million euros more than last year for “buying the same thing.”
«It must be recognized that this has a record, the record that Spaniards paid more taxes than ever to buy the same thing. That must be given to the Government of Spain », he added.
Regarding the PSOE’s accusations that the popular formation wants to lower taxes on the rich, Feijoó has called them a “joke in bad taste”, which “tries to hide what is there” and is “not lowering taxes on average incomes and low”.
On the other hand, the leader of the PP has compared the council of ministers with a “reality show” of what “the confrontation and political division in Spain” is. In addition, Feijóo has criticized that the Government is the largest in the history of Spanish democracy: “Two complete football teams, but two different football teams, compete with each other to obtain votes at the polls.”
At the tail of Europe
Regarding Europe, he lamented that Spain is at the bottom of the economic recovery, since “we have not been able to achieve the wealth we had in 2019”; and the queue in the execution of European funds.
In this sense, Feijóo has criticized that the economic policy of the central government has not hit “not one thing”: “It did not hit inflation, it did not hit economic growth, it did not hit the debt and it did not hit the deficit.”
Therefore, the president of the PP has ruled that “when one is never right, the wrong one is the one who is not right, not the one who constantly and continuously proposes economic growth, it must be done based on solid budgets”:
