What is technically smart? c’t’s multi-part online webinar series “Data protection in medical practices” covers the most important topics from everyday telematics and data protection in a medical practice on three dates in November and provides concrete, practical tips for practice owners and their employees.
The webinars on November 16, 23 and 30, 2022 will take place online from 2 to 4 p.m. The mediator and lawyer Dr. Arnd-Christian Kulow, who, as a certified Java programmer, certified data protection officer and certified auditor for data protection, can competently illuminate the topic from different perspectives.
Three webinars of two hours each
In the first webinar on November 16, participants will learn about the general and specific aspects of data protection law that are relevant in everyday practice. This includes their obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and special new requirements under the Patient Data Protection Act (PDSG). It is also clarified there who is actually responsible for the necessary connectors of the telematics infrastructure.
The second webinar on November 23 explains the connections between standard practice IT, from practice management software to telematics components, electronic health cards, health professional ID cards and digital health applications to cloud storage of patient data. Practical tips explain what to look out for with all these building blocks and what to avoid at all costs.
The third webinar on November 30 will focus on data and IT hygiene. Organizational measures are designed to avoid liability cases. To this end, the participants are instructed in recognizing risks in their own practice and in organizing IT security and data protection in a pragmatic manner. It also explains how, in case of doubt, you can prove that you have done everything right.
