Striking taxi drivers continue to commit brutal assaults to drivers of Transport Vehicles with Driver (VTC) in Seville. So much so that Cabify has been forced to suspend its service in certain zones of the capital of Seville due to the “harsh attacks that are taking place on drivers and cars”. This Saturday, without going any further, they opened the head of a driver of VTC in the vicinity of the airport.
Thus, Cabify has suspended its service in the Santa Justa area and at Seville airport for these brutal assaults that happen within the taxi strike in Andalusia during this weekend in protest against the decree of the Andalusian Government that regulates the activity of Transport Vehicles with Driver (VTC) in urban centers from October 1.
Through a message in the company’s mobile application, Cabify warns users that “we have no choice but to avoid the Santa Justa area and airport by customer and driver safety», every time they lament this situation «of which we are all victims».
This past Saturday the associations of the VTC, Andeval y Unautohave condemned the attacks suffered by the drivers of this service while exercising their profession, on the first night of the strike called by the taxi sector in Andalusia.
Specifically, they warn of “a dozen drivers” attacked in Seville and Malaga during last Friday night and “more than 30 cars affected by the throwing of stones, eggs or other elements.” Behind some “serious aggressions” they place the taxi, since they explain that “in several cases, -the aggressors- have identified themselves as taxi drivers.”
In this sense, the National Police that, starting at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, they began to receive calls alerting them to altercations at the San Pablo airport, in the Seville capital.
