BMW refreshes the R 1250 GS for 2023 with some new features and a chic paint job.
Although the R 1300 GS is probably already in the starting blocks, BMW is refreshing the current 1250 for the 2023 model year. The measures are limited to a minimal change in the series electronics, newly equipped equipment packages and the new equipment variant “Trophy”.

The GS and the Adventure get the slight retouching in equal measure. What is new – and this must be worth a message – is that the convenience flashing can be switched off in the menu from 2023 and is standard. The previously optional tire pressure monitoring system (RDC) will be available worldwide for the key-less models from 2023 and the corresponding control unit will be able to recognize multiple wheel sets. In addition, the RDC is part of the optional comfort package.
The most notable new feature on the GS for 2023 is the new Trophy paintwork and trim option. It is available for the GS and the Adventure and comes with the new Gravity Blue paint, cross-spoke rims for the GS, a matching rally seat, the short Sport windshield, radiator grille, frame protection and rough Enduro footpegs. It seems that the Trophy variant will replace the previously available 40-year GS version. Furthermore, the Blackstorm Metallic paint option will no longer be available for 2023. BMW has not yet communicated prices for both GS for 2023.
