Mallorca has reached an agreement with Sevilla for the loan of the Swedish left-back Ludwig Augustinsson, who has played the first part of the season at Aston Villa, where he has barely played a leading role. Augustinsson, 28 years old, will be the substitute for Braian Cufréwho also leaves on loan to New York City.
Augustinsson es 50 caps for Sweden, the team with which he played in the 2018 World Cup and Euro 2020. In the World Cup in Russia, in fact, he played five games and scored one goal. In 2017 he made the leap from Denmark to Germany, where he lived Werder Bremen’s relegation to Second after 40 years in the Bundesliga, but in 2021 he was signed by Sevilla for four seasons.
The Swedish side dstake for its offensive vocation, which has led him to always score many goals in the teams in which he has played. It will be the competition of Jaume Costa to occupy the left flank of Mallorca’s defense.
