Thai police arrest a 14-year-old boy as the perpetrator of this Tuesday’s fatal shooting in Bangkok.
The attack, which took place in a luxury shopping center in the capital, killed four people, leaving at least five others injured.
Initially, the director of the Bangkok Emergency Medical Center, Yutthana Sretthanan, spoke of three deaths, although later the death of a fourth person was confirmed due to injuries received during the attack. It is also known that at least one of the injured is a foreign citizen.
Hundreds of shoppers were quickly evacuated from the center and the nearest train station, the Siam elevated train station, was closed as a preventive measure.
The minor, who was carrying a gun and dressed in camouflage pants, was arrested an hour after carrying out the shooting, and is in police custody, according to police spokesman Archayon Kraithong.
