The big salary report 2023: This is what IT specialists earn in Germany Average salaries Satisfaction and willingness to change Salary according to experience Salary according to federal state Company size and industry Salary for managers
The common perception is that companies are desperately looking for IT specialists and pay high salaries. Although the demand for IT workers remains high, just because someone does “something with computers” doesn’t automatically mean you get a good salary.
In IT, too, the annual remuneration depends on many factors: Do you prefer to take care of networks or IT security, do you rather program with Java or C++, do you prefer to advise customers on SAP products or do you prefer to become a data scientist? Aside from the specific job, external factors also determine the salary: Is the company in Brandenburg or Bavaria, is it a large company and what do you actually earn with management responsibility?
Using various data sources, we break down which jobs promise the highest salary in IT. We take a closer look at developers and admins, show how the public sector performs against the private sector and in which industries you as an IT worker have the best chances of being paid fairly. Finally, we clarify whether a high salary reduces the willingness to look for a new job.
