We looked for help, but when we asked for help they found out that we were living in shelters and they told us that we had three weeks to look for a house, but we didn’t get one.” “Over time, they took custody of our children away from us. At least until the situation at home is resolved, and I can only see them once a week,” explains Daniela.
“I paid 400 euros in rent and earned about 800, half of which went to rent. Then you have to add 40 for transportation, 150 for shopping… There is no way to live like that,” says Andreia Costa, who also lives in a tent.
