They rescue a woman in Ernio, after feeling unwell

A 67-year-old woman was rescued this afternoon on Mount Ernio (Errezil) after feeling unwell.

The emergency services received a call for help at around 11:45 a.m. alerting of the disappearance of a woman in an area that was difficult to access, according to sources from the Department of Security reported to eitb.eus.

The rescue teams arrived by helicopter to the place where the woman was and from there they took her to the Zumarraga football field. An ambulance was waiting at the scene to take the woman to the Zumarraga Hospital.

Firefighters from Urola and Oria, as well as agents from the mountain and rescue teams of the Ertzaintza, participated in the operation.
