Youtube Create is a new app that is intended to make producing videos much easier. Of course, this is where artificial intelligence comes into play. With Dream Screen, entire backgrounds can be created straight away. YouTube has also published some usage figures.

Video production basically requires an application that can also be used to edit the video. Youtube itself is now bringing Youtube Create onto the market. An app that is intended to make it easier for beginners to get started with life in front of the camera and on the platform. With Youtube Create, of course, cutting and trimming videos is possible, functions without which it would not work at all.
But the app can also do more: there are automatic subtitles, a voiceover function and access to a library with filters, effects, transitions and royalty-free music – including beat-matching technology, as YouTube explains: AI helps, always the right music to find. Aloud ensures that videos can be automatically synchronized in other languages. This means you can reach a lot more people with other native languages straight away. However, the translation is still only available in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
More people are watching YouTube Shorts
The app was developed in coordination with a number of creators who probably know best what it takes to produce videos for the platform in long form or as shorts. However, YouTube Create is still in the beta phase and only available for Android devices in selected countries – Germany is one of them. The tool is free.
Youtube Studio is also intended to help implement ideas for videos using AI. But it’s more about brainstorming and implementing the first ideas. This feature won’t come until next year. The Dream Screen is available for shorts, i.e. the short videos on YouTube. This allows backgrounds to be generated promptly. The function is expected to be made available this year.
Youtube presented all new functions and services in New York at the “Made on Youtube” event. There were also some user numbers there. YouTube Shorts reaches 70 million daily views from more than 2 billion registered people per month. In Germany there are more than 4 million short videos that deal with the topics of digital competence and education. Over 500 channels have more than 1 million subscribers. According to YouTube, this corresponds to an increase of 15 percent compared to the previous year.
