Berlin has not yet decided to send Ukraine the long-range Taurus missiles requested by kyiv. Last Friday Pistorius stated that the missiles could be sent to Ukraine “within a few weeks.”
But at the same time the federal government still has some doubts.
One of them is to ensure that 500 km range missiles are not used to attack Russian territory. The other is that the deployment of this complex system in Ukraine may require the assistance of German specialists on the ground.
European aid to Kiev is agreed in New York between the EU foreign ministers, as explained by the representative of EU foreign policy, Josep Borrell: “We will talk about our future security commitments with Ukraine. In Toledo* we already discussed it “They have put several proposals on the table that the ministers will continue to discuss and prepare for the meeting we will have in Kiev in the coming weeks.”
