The inflationary use of the attribute “agile” has meant that hardly anyone can imagine anything about it anymore. What’s more, many developers roll their eyes when they hear the word. But that need not be.
Finally develop agile for iOS
The two-day workshop “Agile iOS Development with Tests” uses the practical example of an iOS app to show the different types of tests in a good test suite (unit, integration, snapshot, UI and monkey tests). A wide variety of aspects are covered, such as loading data from a web API and from the local storage, navigation, user interface and display as well as the so-called business logic.
An agile project can be adapted to changing requirements or environmental parameters with little effort. But how is agility achieved? An essential part of an agile project is a good test suite. This consists of automatic tests that cover different aspects of a product. The aim of such a test suite is that developers can invest legitimate trust in the meaningfulness of the test results. This allows you to carry out extensive restructuring of the source code without having to spend days or weeks on manual testing.
Two-day workshop “Agile iOS development with tests” in October
The two-day workshop not only covers the purely technical aspects of the different types of testing, but also testing practices such as test-driven development, mocking, test-driven refactoring and test support in Xcode. The speaker is Dr. Dominik Hauser, iOS developer and author. His special topics are automatic tests for iOS apps and Xcode. He is the author of numerous bestsellers and articles about app programming in general and test-driven development and Xcode in particular.
The online workshop will take place on October 10th and 11th, 2023, the event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A ticket to take part in both days costs 1190 euros.
