Today in LA ANTORCHA, Vicente Gil analyzes with Jaime González and Fran Carrillo the reduction of the sentence for one of the rapists of ‘La Manada’ thanks to the yes means yes law. More than 1,000 rapists or pedophiles have already had their sentences reduced and more than a hundred have been released from prison.
Almost 11 million Spaniards voted for the PSOE and Sumar, for the Pedro Sánchez government, on June 23, knowing the consequences of the law. Are they complicit in sending rapists onto the streets and reducing their sentences? What educational and moral level do those who support with their vote a law that releases rapists and pedophiles have?
Today, José María Aznar has asked Spanish society to mobilize against the amnesty that Sánchez is negotiating with Puigdemont and the Catalan coup plotters who aspire to destroy Spain and our democratic system.
The question is: if almost 11 million people vote for a government that puts rapists on the streets, who will care about the amnesty? Has Spain become a sheepish, uncritical, valueless and sick society where everything doesn’t matter? Would this happen in a truly enlightened, advanced and ‘progressive’ country?
