The drug torturer who drilled his rivals

The parking lot of a shopping center in Dénia (Alicante, 43,899 inhabitants) was the last destination in the escape of a dangerous fugitive wanted by the German authorities for his participation in a criminal group dedicated to drug trafficking. The fugitive, arrested by the National Police on September 4 in the Alicante town, was in charge of obtaining with “extreme violence”, according to police sources, all possible information from members of rival gangs to find out the whereabouts of any leader or to commit overturning, which is how merchandise thefts between drug trafficking groups are known. The arrested person, 28 years old and with his face and neck completely tattooed, had a European Arrest and Surrender Order (OEDE) for torturing two people, one of them a minor, from whom he extracted data using lighter burns. and wounds caused by a drill bit. The events, for which he faces a possible sentence of 15 years in prison, took place in April 2022. The arrested person has already been brought to justice at the National Court for the processing of his extradition.

The detainee was in the city of Brandenburg, in northeastern Germany, when he made an appointment by phone with an underage girl who was part of a rival gang, according to police sources. After meeting in a playground, the torturer and her cronies surrounded the victim, put her in a vehicle and took her to a safe house of the organization. Her objective was to extract all possible information from him about members of his criminal group. To achieve this, they did not hesitate to exert the maximum possible violence. They burned the hostage with lighters repeatedly, injured her fingers with pipe wrenches and even injured her thigh with a drill bit. Despite this, the minor resisted and did not give a single piece of information.

At that moment, the arrested person and his collaborators used the victim’s mobile phone and contacted one of their colleagues. They used violence again to force the kidnapped woman to guide them to her friend’s home and to have her ring her doorbell to open it. With this ploy they managed to break into the house and tortured their second victim into giving them a quantity of ecstasy (MDMA), one of the main narcotic substances on the market. Since the tortured drug trafficker did not have the merchandise, they all returned to the safe house, where, again through torture, they managed to get him to give them a significant amount of money.

The cruelty applied by the German fugitive was reported by the minor to the local authorities, who managed to identify the torturer, who fled the country in circumstances that have not been revealed. A European arrest warrant was issued from Berlin. After the German police (BKA) detected the fugitive’s movements in the province of Alicante, agents from the Fugitive section of the Drug and Organized Crime Unit (Udyco) of the National Police located him in Dénia, one of the most important centers Alicante tourist attractions. His tattoos made the job easier, according to investigation sources. Three agents from the central Udyco went to Dénia and organized the operation, with which they discovered that the fugitive often visited a shopping center in the vehicle he used for his work, renovating buildings and homes. It was in this shopping center where he was finally arrested, without resisting, and placed at the disposal of the National Court.

In July the National Police arrested another fugitive in Alicante, the Bosnian Mirza Gacanin, for whom two international arrest warrants were pending, one from his country and the other from the Netherlands. The police took advantage of the visit of Gacanin’s children to capture him, on July 3, in the middle of the street. The Bosnian courts claim him in an International Arrest Warrant (OID) for belonging to an organized criminal group linked to drug and arms trafficking, punishable by a maximum of 20 years in prison. Gacanin is the uncle of Edin Gacanin, one of the most wanted drug traffickers on the planet, who was arrested in November 2022 in Dubai and whose criminal gang is responsible for shipping large tonnages of drugs from South America to Europe.
