The storm causes damage to vehicles, floods, blowouts and pools of water in Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa

In Bizkaia, the Urko River overflowed in Etxebarria and there were large hailstorms in Igorre, where a person also had to be treated. In Berriz, Iurreta and Durango the hail caused damage to vehicles, and on the AP8 near Amorebieta-Etxano it forced numerous vehicles to stop.

The storm has had, above all, an impact in Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa. Numerous pools of water have been recorded, pipe bursts, manhole overflows, water accumulation on roads, flooding in workshops, homes, streets, terraces in several municipalities, river overflows, etc.

As reported by the Security Department of the Basque Government, in Bizkaia, the Urko river overflowed in Etxebarria and there were large hailstorms in Igorre, where a person also had to be treated.

In Berriz, Iurreta and Durango the hail caused damage to vehicles, and on the AP8 near Amorebieta-Etxano it forced numerous vehicles to stop.

The incidents by water rafts related mainly to pipe bursts and archway overflows or accumulation of water in the causeway occurred in municipalities such as Muskiz, Barakaldo, Erandio, Sopela, Ortuella, Abanto-Zierbena, Santurtzi, Trápaga Valley, Erandio, Lemoa, Berriatua, Lekeitio and Orozko.

On the other hand, in Etxebarria, Berriatua, Laukiz, Mendexa, Elorrio, Markina-Xemein and Mallabia small landslides or landslides occurred.

In addition, workshops, houses, streets and terraces were flooded in Zaldibar, Sestao, Ondarroa, Etxebarri, Ermua, Elorrio, Dima, Berriz and Zierbena.

The storms leave heavy rain and hail in Bizkaia

In Gipuzkoa, there were incidents of pools of water caused by clogging of drains or sewers or by accumulation on roads in: Donostia-San Sebastián, Getaria, Elgeta and Mutriku.

There was also an incident due to a fallen tree in Zerain, a small landslide in Deba on the N-634 road and a tree branch that momentarily blocked access to the highway in Elgoibar.

Finally, several floods were recorded in Errenteria, Donostia-San Sebastián, Astigarraga, Azkoitia, Mutriku and Eibar.
