In just a quarter of an hour, the water that was accumulating and the stone that fell from the sky caused numerous personal and material damage, but, above all, fear. “It seemed like the roof was falling in,” a woman from Fitero who experienced the storm from her house told EITB Media.

Today is the day to count damages, which have not, in general, been serious, although they have been numerous; And the hailstones have broken car windows, roofs, skylights, windows, gutters and blinds.

In addition, water has entered numerous homes and basements, where firefighters and the Regional Police have had to intervene.

Several people have suffered injuries, either from the impact of the hail, or from slips and falls as a result of the state of the ground.

However, it is in the fields and crops where such damage will be most noticeable, especially in fruit and olive trees, where, according to those affected, “everything has been lost.”

As reported by the Government of Navarra, during the early hours of the morning the Tudela and Lodosa Firefighters and the Foral Police had to carry out several interventions in various streets and roads in the area, such as in Lodosa or Estella, where there were landslides or They have formed rafts.
