The vice president of the United States, Kamala Harris, has once again become the target of criticism and memes in the country after she showed herself dancing awkwardly at a party she organized at the White House to commemorate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop and which was attended by 400 guests, with artists like Lil Wayne, Jeezy and Common.

The most critical have attacked Democratic politics for enjoying a musical party while the country faces a series of problems, such as inflation and the consequences of the destructive fires on the Hawaiian island of Maui.

PRIORITIES: Kamala Harris threw a party at her house today to observe 50 years of hip-hop.

“Dance Kamala while Hawaiians continue to suffer!” said a user on X (former Twitter). “Her dance moves are as bad as her ability to solve our border crisis,” wrote another. One critic gave him a simple but devastating nickname: “Kringemala Harris.”

Detractors also criticized the vice president for her clumsy and boring dancing at the hip-hop anniversary celebration.

“Kamala Harris with the steps of an old woman at her Hip-Hop 50th anniversary party,” added political analyst Anthony Brian Logan on social networks.

“What a shame,” wrote one user, while another called her “Cackle Shuffle” in reference to the vice president’s laugh that has always been the object of ridicule in the United States.

The vice president couldn’t help but let loose at the party when the DJ played Q-Tip’s 1999 hit, “Vivrant Thing.”

Wearing pink pants and a neon blouse in the purest style of the 90s, the 58-year-old woman moved stiffly and nodded her head to the rhythm of the song with a forced smile, as seen in the video.

“That?” Harris said before moving his arms in the typical “Roll It” gesture. Harris tried to sing the song, but seemed to know only the chorus.

In the end, President Biden’s right hand settled for a very simple dance move: raising one hand in the air while alternating supporting feet.

To celebrate the dance’s anniversary, several events were held across the country to recognize its origins and influence on popular culture, from several concerts in New York to museum exhibitions in the US capital.

Controversial vice president

After two and a half years in office, Kamala Harris has become the lowest-rated US vice president in history. Her empty explanations, the way she babbles and how she expresses herself have been compared to the constant gaffes of the president, Joe Biden, but in the case of the vice president the consequences have been disastrous for her mandate. .

Never in 30 years has there been a vice president as unpopular as Kamala Harris, with a rejection rate of 54%. Not even the vice president who plotted the Iraq war during George W. Bush’s time, Dick Chenney, who then became the rag doll of the Democrats.

His record has been marred not only by his low popularity ratings but also by a series of mistakes that Republicans have been quick to exploit, including a tendency to laugh at seemingly inappropriate moments. But Harris has earned a personal brand: saying things that mean absolutely nothing.
