Cross-platform app programming usually reduces effort and complexity and thus keeps development costs under control. However, common hybrid frameworks bring with them numerous disadvantages of web technologies. With Flutter, however, a quasi-standard for hybrid mobile development has already been established, which enables the writing of high-performance apps for the two mobile platforms iOS and Android.

Develop fast iOS and Android apps
The online workshop “Mobile Apps with Flutter” introduces interested app developers to the basics of app programming with Flutter over two days in November. The topics include setting up the tool chain as well as everyday development practice with Flutter – for example in the design of user interfaces and transitions.
Core areas such as network and file storage are also on the agenda, and security aspects and the treatment of platform-specific programming are not missing either. Special features and stumbling blocks will of course be explained in the workshop. The Dart programming language used does not pose any major challenges for developers and is discussed in passing.
