The former prime minister of Finland, who lost the April elections to the conservative National Coalition party, resigned from her position as an MP so she could become a strategic advisor to the former British prime minister’s Institute for Global Change.
“It is a fairly large non-profit foundation that operates in more than 30 countries. My main role will be to advise governments and leaders of different countries on political issues that are familiar to me,” said Marin.
Sanna Marin became an international political star in 2019 when she was elected the world’s youngest prime minister. She was 34 years old.
Shortly after, he had to manage the pandemic crisis in Finland and more recently the break with historical neutrality, leading the request to join NATO.
Meanwhile, he experienced some controversies, even taking a drug test. More recently, just after losing the election, she also announced her divorce from her partner of two decades.
