The Hondarribia City Council has condemned two sexist attacks that occurred yesterday in this Guipuzcoan municipality and has called for participation in the rally called for tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. in Plaza Martxoak 8.
In a statement, the council insists that “everyone has the right to experience the holidays freely and that we will not tolerate sexist or homophobic attacks.”
Hondarribia is on the eve of festivities, which are officially celebrated from September 7 to 11, and starting tomorrow the City Council will activate a comprehensive plan against attacks at parties. Among others, the “anti-aggression point” will be reinforced with “an information point in San Pedro kalea, a service point in Itsas Etxea and a telephone number (688718797) that is active 24 hours a day.”
