Heavy rain on Sunday, September 3 in some areas of Spain has led authorities to ask residents to stay at home and not use their vehicles due to the threat of flooding.
The torrential rains in Spain, caused by DANA (an isolated depression at high levels), have seriously affected Madrid and Toledo this morning.

Two people are missing in Aldea del Fresno, after the vehicle they were traveling in fell into the Alberche River.
According to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), Toledo accumulated rainfall throughout the day on Sunday that left 91.2 liters per square meter until 11:10 p.m., the third highest record in all of Spain.
The most affected area is the southwest of Madrid, specifically the municipalities of Aldea del Fresno, Villa Del Prado, Villamanta, Villamantilla, Villanueva de Perales, Navalcarnero and El Álamo.
Chaos in the Madrid metro
Several lines of the Madrid Metro interrupted service this morning due to the accumulation of water caused by the rains. More than one line was interrupted until the service was closed, and some remain cut this Monday.
There were also significant complications in the circulation of medium and long-distance trains due to flooding in various areas of the region.
