Juanma Moreno, president of the Junta de Andalucía, has sent a message through his social networks in which he has given a blow, and a good one, to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). According to the leader of the Andalusian PP, “precaution is necessary and not putting lives at risk.”
«On days like today, caution is necessary and not putting lives at risk. But I also make a call for reflection: if a public body warns of ‘extreme danger’ it must be very sure, because that has social and economic consequences. All caution. Rigor, too,” said Juanma Moreno through her social networks.

As explained by sources close to the Andalusian president, Moreno’s message refers, fundamentally, to the notice sent by Aemet on social networks during the night of this past Saturday, in which they asked for “caution!” because more than 120 square liters could be “accumulated in twelve hours this Sunday” in the Community of Madrid and Toledo.
⚠️Red notice (extreme danger) due to rain in the Community of Madrid (south, Vegas and west) and in the province of Toledo (La Mancha Toledo). More than 120 l/m² can accumulate in twelve hours this Sunday. These are extraordinary amounts that can generate great impact. Caution! https://t.co/uGNdmHpfBk pic.twitter.com/77caCZtD9f

And the fact is that Madrid has avoided the DANA of the most apocalyptic forecasts of which the Aemet had ever warned. Neither serious floods, nor floods, nor the unprecedented rainfall that they announced. In the middle of the afternoon this Sunday, the State Meteorological Agency reported that it was lifting the red alert over the capital. The alert has been reduced to orange in the Community of Madrid, except in the southern part of the region, Vegas and West, as reported by the organization on its website.
The surprising decision to dispense with the red alert comes after having asked Madrid’s emergency services and Civil Protection to send a message to all Madrid residents’ cell phones warning of the dramatic effects of a cold drop that has not arrived. to produce and with recommendations of what to do if they were surrounded by the torrential rains that were announced.
