Aware of its growing dependence, Ukraine has allocated almost one billion euros to the purchase and manufacture of drones for the Army.
On the battlefield, they have become indispensable. The drones are the eyes of a Ukrainian army that lacks air power. They record the movements of the enemy and serve to refine the artillery fire. Ukraine has also used them to carry the war into Russian territory, striking targets hundreds of kilometers from the border.

And local companies like AirLogix have grown in the shadow of the fighting. The sector is experiencing an unprecedented boom.
“Here we are soldiers. We make UAVs for our armed forces. When we started after the invasion, we were 6-8 people, now we are more than 40, and we hire and hire and expand,” says company founder Vitalij Kolesnitjenko.
Similar companies have flourished everywhere. Drone Lab was born at the beginning of the invasion to help the Ukrainian army with a single engineer. Now there are 20 and more than 100 volunteers. They have made more than 1,500 drones and trained hundreds of soldiers to fly them.
